Program Description:

The NOW Digital Academy looks to offer students and interns the possibility to learn digital marketing in a 2016 relevant context, for absolutely free. This is not some lecture-type learning, but rather learning by doing, because we think it's the only way. This means that you get to be directly part of businesses that are built upon the pillar of digital marketing. Our approach to teaching and executing digital marketing is the same approach to how accelerators teach entrepreneurship within a start up incubator, that is the place where the better startups get the support they need to achieve phenomenal growth. We know it works. We are now applying this method of learning and executing to digital marketing.

SEO & Content Writing This is compulsory because content is still king. Every team member will be part of the content team. No experience other than imagination and grammatically correct writing skills. Is English not your first language? We are also open to applicants who are fluent in French, Spanish and German. SEO Advanced Optional - Basic web development skills, ideally PHP. In SEO Advanced, you will learn how to be an SEO master, that means how to rank in competitive spaces, how to find niches and how to gain web authority. All this leads to traffic! Social Media Optional - No experience at all, other than imagination. Analytical skills or design skills will help though not essential. In the social media course, you will learn the art of engagement, how to listen to conversations and how to create a voice in the industry which you operate. Design Optional - A key skill set within the digital marketing space. Having played about with Photoshop is expected but no extreme Photoshop skills required! A basic understanding of aesthetics is expected! From the design course, you will learn how design affects the user experience of a site, how you can create WOW impacts and more importantly, how to measure and improve upon what you have done. Customer Champion Optional - This is a role we created. They are similar to brand managers but a lot more important. Customer champions are worried about the customer experience and creating that much needed WOW factor. If you want to in the shoes of a customer and influence a great experience, then this course is for you.

Through NOW digital business courses, you will gain insights into the essential areas such as - How to develop content strategies - How to write quality content that creates traffic - How to leverage social media through engagement - How to run an ecommerce store - How to monitor and analyse what is being done and what to do about such data

Setting Description:

The NOW digital business academy is based on the sunny and warm island of Malta, bang in the middle of the Mediterranean. While at the fun yet intensive course, you will also get the opportunity to hit the beach, get a tan, check out the awesome nightlife and live the island life. Most of all, through the NOW digital academy, we prove that location is not important as long as you have the hunger and that much needed internet connection.
