Argentine Foundation that supports homeless and socially disadvantaged people to integrate themselves into the society
The foundation provides the needy persons with food, clothing and basic medical care. It organizes events to inform underprivileged people about their rights and additionally they work together with other NGOs. The homeless get support in finding an employment and housing. In addition, it supports literacy campaigns and provides tutoring, as well as training and leisure activities.
The volunteer will participate in the main activities of the foundation: During a night tour (twice a week from 21:00), the volunteer will walk though the city center of Cordoba (Plaza San Martín and pedestrian) and provide food, blankets, clothing and medicines to needy people.
On the remaining days of the week he/she will attend the following activities:
- Manage and organize donations of used clothing
- Meetings with other NGOs
- Organization of events (traditional music event in October, dinner and handing out toys to children)
In these programs you can look into the usual routine of a working day in an organization and acquire practical skills. This volunteering gives you a unique opportunity to develop yourself and to gain a lot of new opinions about life, the environment and human beings. You can support those who need help and contribute to a better society.
