Program Description:
This part-time programme aims to develop your existing project management skills and to develop a community of practitioners with highly specialised project management expertise.
This new innovative programme has been developed by the universities of Newcastle, Durham and Warwick. It is designed for professionals who work in a prime contract environment or who are part of a team that delivers projects which have a significant level of technical, commercial, organisational or supply chain complexity.
You take 10 taught modules (105 credits including an introductory half-module) and undertake an investigation, normally at your own place of work, which addresses project management issues (75 credits). Taught modules may include: organisation and strategy; programme management tools; integrated design and delivery; integrated programme management; major contracts as organisations; financial and legal engineering of major projects; customers and markets; organisational leadership; team leadership; methods of enquiry. The normal pattern of study for each module is a week of taught study at one of the collaborating universities, followed by further independent study and targeted investigation in your workplace.
