Program Description:
NYU Summer in Beijing is a six-week program that combines classroom study with field trips to allow students to observe the rapid economic and social changes taking place in the city. Intercultural Perspectives is a three-week study abroad program for educators and graduate students to examine the intercultural perspectives on teaching and learning in China. Urbanization and Sustainable Development is a three-week program that exposes students to diverse issues of urban renewal.

Urbanization and Sustainable Development will explore the challenges to environment and sustainability and opportunities for economic development posed by urbanization and development.

Setting Description:
NYU Summer in Beijing offers students access to Beijing and its unparalleled political, cultural, and educational center in the largest nation on earth. Intercultural Perspectives takes place in Shanghai. Students have the opportunity to visit local colleges and public and private schools. Urbanization and Sustainable Development also takes place in Shanghai. The course includes excursions and visits to local markets and attractions in Shanghai and a full-day trip to Suzhou.

Students can transfer their federal financial aid from their home institution to help pay for their tuition at NYU Shanghai. Visit the financial aid office at your home school to learn more about consortium agreements.
