Program Overview

Program Description:

Location: Kampala, Uganda Dates: January, 2020

Learning how to teach, create, and perform dance and to build community – through the lens of another culture. You’ll collaborate with professional dancers, educators, and students from the Royal Ballet Academy and local universities in Kampala. Take classes in traditional Ugandan dance, East African drumming, and teaching methodology, and then implement lesson plans with children from local orphanages and other community-based organizations.

Setting Description:
You will stay at a safe and comfortable hotel in Kampala, arranged by the Office of Academic Initiatives and Global Programs. Your accommodation arrangements are included in your Housing and Activity Fees.
Cost:
2020 Graduate Tuition: $1,795 per point plus registration and services fees 2020 Housing and Activity Fees: $1,400
