- The Career Development Series is designed to provide you with the tools to be successful in your internship, broaden your understanding of the professional world, and enable you to maximize your internship experience. Series topics include: Introduction to Professionalism Learn the general codes of conduct and skills that will help you exceed the expectations of your internship supervisor; Career Night Meet esteemed professionals from a wide range of industries for a panel discussion on how to utilize college for your career; College Application and Interview Skills Discuss strategies for highlighting your internship experience for the college admissions process and future career prospects; and Building a Resume and LinkedIn Profile Leverage your experience and develop your brand to take advantage of career-based social media. Interns receive receive 3 college credits for successful completion of the 4 week internship, weekly journal entries, and participation in the Career Development Series. Credit is conferred by Marist College, NY. Official transcripts are available from Marist College upon request. Credits are transferable to many colleges and universities in the United States. Tuition includes term fees, full internship program, Career Development Series, Marist college credit, transportation to/from Internship via public transportation, housing, use of housing facilities, breakfast and dinner daily (1 meal on Saturday and Sunday), recreation pass, activities, trips and excursions per catalog/website, blanket and pillow, and 1 set of sheets.
