Program Description:

We are a Christian school located in Mokpo, South Korea. The job is comparable to being an Elementary School teacher in America. You will be teaching our students Reading, History, Math, Science, Bible, and Logic. Our school teaches Christian character, principles, and culture. We want our students to be educated within the school and within the Kingdom of God. You will not only be teaching from your mind, but also from your heart. This is a wonderful experience to grow as a teacher and to grow in your faith. Teaching credentials are not necessary. Anyone with a BA/BS is qualified. We offer free room and partial board. A free plane ticket to come is provided as well.

-teaching a wide spectrum of classes: Reading, Bible, History, Science, Math, Debate -speaking in front of 8-12 students -maintaining order in a classroom -using discipline in effective and appropriate ways -creating curriculum to help students learn -encouraging those who are having difficulty -helping students engage -making and grading tests -assigning and checking homework

Setting Description:

We are located in the most southwest part of South Korea. In terms of safety, we are the farthest from North Korea. We live in a small city (relative to Korean standards). Everything you need is within walking distance and there are plenty of buses if you want to travel outside the city. There are many mountains to hike nearby using a bus.

There is no cost for the program--it is free for you! In fact, we will even accommodate you for working.
