Program Location: San Jose, Costa Rica

Program Duration: 4 or 8 weeks

What is included?

• Tuition:  Students receive 6 graduate or undergraduate credits for 4-weeks and 12 credits for 8-weeks.

• Grades: Official Transcript from the UCR *

• Housing: Students stay with host families.

• Board:  Students receive 2 meals per day

• Laundry services provided by the host family

• Pre-departure orientation and services

• Airport pick-up for students who arrive at the designated time on the arrival date

• On-site orientation on campus of the university

• MLSA staff on campus and on-site: MLSA activities director, MLSA housing director, MLSA academic director, and assistants.

• MLSA offices on campus of the university in classroom building

• Access to some of the facilities at the university

• Wireless internet connection on campus

• Cultural Activity: Walking Tour of San Jose

• Cultural Activity: Museo Nacional

• Cultural Activity: Cartago 

Students may participate in optional excursions for an additional fee.  These excursions includes a Volcano and Waterfall, a Cruise, and a Coffee Plantation.*Subject to change.

Scholarships Description:

MLSA offers up to scholarships of up to $500 for the programs in Costa Rica and Spain. For teachers who administer the National Spanish Examinations, NSE offers SIX (6) Study Abroad Scholarships for Teachers in Spain and Costa Rica.
