Universidad Antonio de Nebrija a private and independent institution in Madrid accredited by the Spanish government. Spanish courses are taught at the metropolitan Campus de Madrid-Princesa, conveniently located in the city center.
The university was named for the illustrious humanist, Elio Antonio de Nebrija (1441-1522). Nebrija's most important work was the "Gramatica Castellana", and he is considered the first grammarian of the Spanish language. Thus, language is an important part of the university's curriculum, and the university boasts a special center focused specifically on the study of Spanish for foreigners. Since 1985, Antonio de Nebrija University has been teaching international students and professionals to speak Spanish and sharing Spanish culture in its ‘Centro de Estudios Hispanicos Antonio de Nebrija’.

Students can participate in optional excursions which are available through the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. These may include: Toledo; Segovia; Asturias; Granada, and more. MLSA Sponsors the Excursion to the North of Spain, which includes the opportunity to see Running of the bulls in Pamplona; beach in Biarritz, France, with stops in Burgos and Medinaceli.

- MLSA offers up to scholarships of up to $500 for the programs in Costa Rica and Spain. For teachers who administer the National Spanish Examinations, NSE offers SIX (6) Study Abroad Scholarships for Teachers in Spain and Costa Rica.
