Program Description:

Community health is a major field of study within the medical and clinical sciences which focuses on the maintenance, protection, and improvement of the health status of population groups and communities as opposed to the health of individual patients. During this rotation, you will experience how Colombian health professionals from different specialized fields view Colombian community health.  You may choose 1 or 2 of the following work settings; but each site requires a minimum of 2 weeks.  Certified professionals have greater flexibility of time constraints.  Our Volunteer Experience Advisor will make a recommendation as to where you should invest your volunteer time upon learning about your professional goals and interests.
