Program Description:

In the online Early Childhood Education program, you’ll learn how to attend to the basic needs of children such as dressing, feeding, and overseeing play. You’ll graduate confident in your ability to work in a childcare environment.

The courses in the Early Childhood Education program include:

    Child Development: Students will learn about the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional domains of childhood development.
    Educational Psychology: Students will learn psychological principles as they relate to the teaching-learning process. Students examine such topics as learning theory, intelligence, ability to learn, cognition, memory, and motivation.
    Planning and Instruction: Students will learn age-appropriate lesson planning and instruction of children from birth to age eight.
