Program Description:

Some of the highlights of the MBA program at Memorial University are: small class, sizes, flexible full-time or part-time options, a variety of teaching approaches, opportunities for an international focus with exchange programs. MBA courses are taught using a combination of styles to engage students and encourage their participation. Small class sizes allow for enhanced student-faculty interaction and greater personal instruction. The mix of part-time and full-time students enhances classroom discussion. This combination strengthens students’ communication skills and develops a broad knowledge base in our graduates. Teaching approaches are various and include case studies, role playing, lectures, research projects and interactive simulations. The programs are offered on a full-time or part-time basis, with students choosing the full course or thesis option. Through its Centre for International Business Studies, Memorial University has agreements with universities in Belgium, Denmark, France, Mexico and Ireland, allowing MBA students to broaden their knowledge of international business through study, internships and e-learning abroad. The MBA program at Memorial University is best known for its success in business case competitions. In 2006, the Memorial MBA was recognized by the oldest and largest case competition in the world, the John Molson School of Business International MBA Case Competition, as having the most successful record of any other MBA school in the competition.
