Program Description:
Dear colleagues and friends, We are pleased to welcome you to the Eighth International Surgery Summer School, an academic event that will take place in Iasi, the cultural center of ROMANIA, between the 13th - 26th of July 2015. During these two weeks, you will have the opportunity to learn from the greatest surgeons in Iasi, to practice and work together with them during lectures, lab-work and of course, hospital visits. Last but not least, you will take part in relaxing trips to the most fascinating tourist attractions in Romania: Castle of Dracula, Bucegi Mountains, Peles Castle, the Danube Delta and the Black Sea. We would be grateful if you could share this information with your colleagues and all those who might be interested in this Surgery Summer School. The participants will be involved in workshops and hospital visits in different surgical fields: general surgery, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, ENT, pediatric surgery. They will gain specific knowledge and practical skills which will help them determine whether and which surgical field they should involve in after graduating medical school.

Setting Description:
The summer school is set in Iasi, the cultural capital of Romania, a student city with a vivid life and a lot of opportunities. The social program includes two trips in the most touristic areas of Romania: Castle of Dracula, Bucegi Mountains, Peles Castle, the Danube Delta and the Black Sea.
Cost:
480 Euros, includes: • accommodation in Iasi • accommodation and transport for the two trips in the weekend • 2 meals/day (breakfast + lunch) from Monday to Thursday • 1 meal/day (breakfast) on Friday+Saturday+Sunday = trip days • all the materials needed for the courses (course book, materials for workshops, scrubs
