- Established in 1994, the Budapest study abroad program of McDaniel College is the first accredited American college program in Hungary. McDaniel Europe in Budapest, Hungary, has educated hundreds of U.S. and international students in the liberal arts tradition. McDaniel's Budapest campus, in partnership with College International and International Studies, Inc., is fully accredited by the Commission of Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and is registered in Hungary a a foreign institution of higher education.
All courses at the Budapest campus are taught in English. Undergraduate majors include Art History/Studio Art, Business and Economics, Communication, International Studies, Political Science, and Global Studies (among other courses). American study abroad students take classes together with international students from over 20 countries and participate in guided trips to Hungarian and European cities (e.g., Venice, Vienna) as a regular part of the program. Students study abroad at the Budapest campus for a semester or year. McDaniel Europe also provides a full 4-year B.A. degree program for international students.
The Budapest program consistently receives high reviews from study abroad returnees regarding on-site staff and campus amenities, courses, student interaction, field trips and group excursions. Students enrolled at the Budapest campus have many opportunities to travel independently to major European cities.

- McDaniel Europe is situated in a lovely historic building in the heart of Budapest (Pest side of the city). The facilities blend old world architecture with the demands of the modern classroom: spacious classrooms, student lounge and reading areas, a cafeteria, administrative offices, and a computer lab. Outside the classroom, students enjoy a rich cultural and social life. The entire city becomes an extended campus and is a vibrant center of culture. From club music to world-class museums to hiking in the Buda hills, there is always something to do on weekends.
