As the premier and oldest continual US university program in Italy, LUC's John Felice Rome Center is well equipped to help you make the most of your time abroad, whether you are in the classroom, at an internship, doing service work, or on the road.
Our primary goal is to provide you with an intense educational experience that is infused with the flavors and excitement of living in Rome. Our world-renowned faculty will lead you along the way through enriching curricula, exciting study trips, eye-opening service projects, and experiential learning through internships.
Of course, you will come here to have fun and make connections as well. The JFRC provides plenty of opportunities to engage with the campus community through sporting events, dining, music, spiritual gatherings, and site-seeing. If you are like past students, you will make lifelong friends through all these avenues.
It is with great excitement that we welcome you on this new journey into global exploration--and perhaps most important--personal transformation.
All majors are welcome at our campus where students can choose from over 60 different courses in Art, History, Literature, Music, Political Science, Theology, Business, Language, Honors, Philosophy, Science, Classics and more.

Loyola’s diverse and accessible study abroad programs compelled me to study abroad at the John Felice Rome Center in Fall 2016. While in Rome, I dove headfirst into many exciting opportunities: interning at an Italian film company, coaching as a co-captain
in the JFRC soccer league, writing a travel blog, giving the Student Reflection Speech at the End of Semester Banquet…and travelling throughout Europe! Overall, my study abroad experience made me a more cultivated, resourceful, and fearless individual! I recommend this program to anyone who wants an extraordinary (straordinario in Italian) experience in La Citta' Eterna (The Eternal City)!read moreBottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I can't recommend this program enough. The campus is lovely, the staff is wonderful, and Rome is the most enchanting city in the world. I can honestly say that studying abroad at the JFRC made me a smarter, braver, and more interesting person than I was
before. My only regret is that I didn't do a full year.read moreBottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
