Program Overview

Program Description:

This program works with a local primary school, establised by our local partner to provide free education and materials to children living in a nearby slum.  Sadly, the school is desperately in need of resources.

As a volunteer on this project you will be making a donation of not just your time but also money to purchase the necessary materials to fix that window, replace that sink, improve the running water or anything else you feel you would like to help with. You don’t need to be a DIY expert either. Whatever your skills are (even if you have none) our local team will find a project for you that will be safe, fun, and make the kids surroundings more conducive to learning. Get your hands dirty, paint, hammer, saw, clean, build, demolish – it’s all there waiting for you to help!

Language:  All volunteers must have a good command of the English language. Some understanding of the local dialect would also be beneficial but is not a pre-requisite.

Setting Description:

Volunteers in Kathmandu are accommodated within our comfortable volunteer house, where you will have the opportunity to meet and socialize with many other like-minded people from around the world. In Pokhara, volunteers live within the Orphanage. Two home-cooked meals are provided each day and Wi-Fi and laundry services are available. Free time can be used to explore the amazing local area, or further afield to check out the sights and sounds of this fascinating country!

Cost:

LV Registration Fee + Programs Fees from just $245 for one week! USD. Included: Accommodation, 2 Meals per day, Airport Pick-up, Orientation on Arrival and 24/7 In-Country Support. Not Included: Flights, Insurance, VISA, Vaccinations, Return Airport Transfer, In-Country Transport, and Spending Money.
