Program Description:

Volunteering for a Cambodian Human Rights NGO enables you to support people who face discrimination and human rights violations, including families forcefully evicted from their homes, and women and children who have suffered domestic violence.

Volunteers on Human Rights placements in Cambodia, who must be 19 years of age or older, help monitor the human rights situation and provide support to local NGO's. They might assist in arranging public forums and workshops, in implementing new Human Rights Projects, writing reports and case studies, research projects, teaching English to staff members and developing ideas and new initiatives.

Initially volunteers will work alongside local staff members, while they tailor tasks to suit past experience and training. Preferably 2+ years of relevant experience in the Law and Human Rights field is required for participants on this program.

Language: All volunteers must have a good command of the English language. Some understanding of the local dialect would also be beneficial but is not a pre-requisite.

Setting Description:

As with all of our wonderful programs in Cambodia, volunteers can choose to be accommodated in one of our comfortable volunteer guesthouses, or with one of our friendly local home stay families. In both, 2 delicious meals are provided daily and there will be plenty of opportunity to meet and socialize with like-minded people from around the world. Free time can be used to explore the sights and sounds of this amazing country!

Cost:

LV Registration Fee + Programs Fees just $720 for six weeks! USD. Included: Accommodation, 2 Meals per day, Airport Pick-up, Orientation on Arrival and 24/7 In-Country Support. Not Included: Flights, Insurance, VISA, Vaccinations, Return Airport Transfer, In-Country Transport, and Spending Money.
