Program Description:

Low income communities in Guatemala have very limited access to good healthcare services, and this is where this amazing project comes in. We work with several rural clinics that provide free and accessible healthcare services to indigenous highland populations in the Sacatepéquez region. 

This program is suitable for Doctors, Medical students, Volunteers with an interest in the health field, Physiotherapists, Dentists, and volunteers with proven experience in nutrition. The health posts are located in different towns across the Guatemala highlands where the majority of residents are from Mayan descent. Here volunteers can work with local doctors and nurses in providing this much needed and extremely beneficial service to rural Guatemalan communities.

Setting Description:

Accommodation on all programs in Guatemala is with one of our friendly local host families, so that volunteers have the opportunity to be truly immersed in the local community. They will also get the chance to meet and socialize with like-minded people from all over the world, as free time can be used to explore this amazing country!

Cost:

LV Registration Fee + Programs Fees from just $805 for four weeks! USD. Included: Accommodation, 2-3 Meals per day, Airport Pick-up, Orientation on Arrival and 24/7 In-Country Support. Not Included: Flights, Insurance, VISA, Vaccinations, Return Airport Transfer, In-Country Transport, and Spending Money.
