Program Description:

The first Medical Internship took place in this very hospital!  Today, with the help of Love Volunteers, you have the opportunity to observe and learn in an environment renowned for its academic quality.

On this program volunteers are partnered with a highly qualified Doctor and are able to shadow and observe them on their daily rounds. Programs are tailored to suit each individuals' skills, experience and interests and are overseen at all times by supervising staff.  While fully qualified volunteers may be able to interact direclty with patients the focus is on observation and education. 

Volunteers are able to elect the department they would like to be placed in and may have the chance to experience more than one area of interest.  What a fantastic opporunity to see behind the scenes and advance your personal growth and medical career!

Setting Description:

Volunteers on this project are accommodated at one of Buenos Aires top youth hostels, which is perfectly located in a nice area of central Buenos Aires and within a short commute from the project site and the many attractions of this vibrant city. The hostel is well managed and meticulously clean, and Love Volunteers will all be placed together. Volunteers are provided with breakfast every day, and a cooked dinner three nights per week. This is a perfect home away from home and a wonderful base for your stay in BA!

Cost:

LV Registration Fee + Programs Fees from just $645 for two weeks! USD. Included: Accommodation, 1-2 Meals per day, Airport Pick-up, Orientation on Arrival and 24/7 In-Country Support. Not Included: Flights, Insurance, VISA, Vaccinations, Return Airport Transfer, In-Country Transport, and Spending Money.
