Program Description:

With the London Study Abroad Experience at the University of Westminster you will be studying at an internationally recognized institution taking classes in your major, or fulfilling different electives, while exploring the diversity and liveliness of London. You can also intern at one of the many organizations and businesses located throughout London – gaining international experience and enhancing your resume. The University is set right near the West End of London close to many major tourist attractions! As you walk to class you will stroll along the Thames, and famous sites such as the Parliament, Westminster Abby, Big Ben, The Globe Theater and the British Museum are either a short walk from campus or a quick ride on the tube. You will be studying in an exciting and vibrant part of London with plenty of activities to keep you busy outside of your studies!

Setting Description:

The University of Westminster is located nicely in London’s West End, which allows for students to fully experience the city outside of their classes! This area of London is home to many top tourist attractions, as well as the theater and film industry, and the largest shopping district in Europe. London is a major metropolitan city and is a leader throughout Europe in art, fashion, music, film, theater, history and nightlife. Take in a Shakespearean play at the Globe Theater, listen to the world-renowned London Symphony, or spend a night in a club listening to a Clash-inspired punk show – your possibilities for music and arts are endless! Jump on the Tube and visit the 2012 Olympic stadiums, take in a pub meal for traditional fish and chips, and go shopping at the Camden Market to buy bargain vintage jewelry and clothes.
