Financial Reporting and Anaysis
Aim of the course Financial reporting and analysisis to teach students the basic principles and use of financial reporting in a company management. Emphasis is placed on financial statements, cash flow and financial planning. Time value of money, risk, return, and interest rates play also an important role in the course. Upon completion, students will acquire knowledge of financial techniques and understanding of the tools of modern financial planning and analysis.
The role of managerial accounting is still evolving, especially to meet the needs of management of the company. In order for the accounting to be effectively used as a source of information for management and managerial decision making, it is important for managers to understand the basic principles and methods of accounting, the characteristics of individual components of assets and liabilities, costs and revenues, procedures, as the accounting data occur and how the data can be used for control, management and presentation of the company. The aim of this course is to familiarize participants with theoretical foundations and practical applications of methods of managerial accounting, including its relation to financial and tax accounting and to the area of controlling.
