Our M.Div. in Healthcare Chaplaincy is Ideal for Future Hospital or Hospice Chaplains Seeking an Online Program
Healthcare chaplains spend the majority of their ministry at medical facilities helping the sick, injured, or dying find healing, rest, and guidance of a spiritual nature. A healthcare chaplain is often responsible for counseling patients through the stages of grief, by understanding their illness and often their anger towards the situation. It is common for patients to request a healthcare chaplain to provide their last rites or other religious services. Healthcare chaplains work directly with the families of patients to provide spiritual guidance and support.
There are opportunities for chaplains to counsel other healthcare professionals within a hospital or medical facility. The doctors, nurses, and other medical providers often need someone to talk to after trying or tragic situations are dealt with. Healthcare chaplains are fully certified and ordained to provide essential support and guidance to those who are in need during these times.
There is a need for educated professionals who can help individuals take healthy steps as they navigate through illness, disease, loss, and grief. Patients and families often look for answers to questions and concerns raised because of their situation. You will be able to show them how to cope with such trials through a biblical context.
