Program Description:

Competition in the age of globalization sets new, higher challenges for marketing, which can only be met with a systematic approach based on a comprehensive and strategically conceived analysis. To meet these challenges, companies need well-trained, innovative, and proactive specialists for their business operations, as well as for their marketing services (market research, advertising, consulting).

Content and Idea
The management & marketing program takes on these changing market conditions. The program’s content and method seeks to provide students with a thorough understanding of consumers in both society and business. Students learn to optimize advertising and communication through careful research.  We bring together a network of different academic disciplines that share an orientation towards practical applications. In addition to teaching the necessary fundamentals along with the newest research, we also develop real-life business lessons in conjunction with various internship partners.

Course Structure
With its first two required modules, the major teaches students the basic expertise in service marketing and international marketing. Further modules allow students to specialize in one of three areas: a thoroughly practical emphasis on brand and sales management, a business psychological focus on marketing and consumer psychology, or a concentration on tourism management. Through the choice of a required minor, students can pursue further their individual specialization. The program concludes with a practically oriented research-teaching project.

The curriculum is supplemented through Management Studies courses that are open to all majors and the overarching general studies program for all Master’s students.
