International Business Focus: In addition to language and humanities, our Barcelona program also focuses on International Business course options for students. Classes range from general International Business to International Marketing, cross-cultural issues in management and more. Liberal Arts and Humanities: The courses in Liberal Arts and Humanities cover History, International Relations, Politics, Cultural Studies, Global Studies and more. Spanish Language Focus: Spanish language acquisition is a top priority for the staff at our program and we encourage language development in every aspect of the program. From beginner to advanced levels, most semester students will take an intensive Spanish course worth 3 credits, plus three or four electives worth 3 credits each. Summer students will choose from the following: an intensive Spanish language course worth 6 credits; or Spanish language class worth 3 credits plus one 3-credit elective; or two electives in English worth 3 credits each.

Setting Description:

Our campus occupies a modern and spacious three-story building in the heart of the Eixample district of Barcelona - a beautiful area constructed in the typical Modernist style during the 19th and 20th centuries - and is surrounded by restaurants, cafés and stores. With an unrivalled location in the heart of Barcelona, well-connected by public transportation to all parts of the city, the BIC is truly a multicultural setting boasting sleek, modern facilities that help create a stimulating academic atmosphere. Classrooms are designed to be small and interactive, as well as to soak up the natural light beaming in from the Barcelona sun. Within the school, all students have access to free wifi, a computer lab, printing facilities, quiet study rooms, sunny terraces, cafés and more.
