Program Overview
- Program Description:
- Translation: Applicants must have a high level of Russian (at least intermediate). They will spend their time in the translation bureau, translating documents from Russian to English and proof reading material such as catalogues, brochures and websites.
Teaching assistant: Volunteers provide support to qualified English teachers, acting as conversation partners, developing activities, and helping with presentations.
Administrative assistant: Volunteers help with day-to-day matters such as liaising with clients and writing articles for the website.
IT consultant: Volunteers will assist with IT and website maintenance.

Potential volunteers may apply for various roles, including translation, administration and classroom assistantship, depending on their individual needs and interests. A high level of assistance is given to participants, including full visa support, help with travel, orientation and, if desired, accomodation in Russia can be arranged.
Volunteers not only have the chance to get experience several interesting fields of work, but will have a fascinating insight into the Russian way of life. Participants may also attend 6 academic hours of free Russian lessons per week. This is a great opportunity to combine work and study, and everyday immersion in a Russian environment will significantly aid the language learning process.
- Setting Description:
- Participants will be based in Moscow, St Petersburg or Volgograd in Language Link's schools, which are in modern, re-furbished buildings near the city center.
