Launched with its first issue on the 4th March 2011 and with a circulation already of over 2,000, this National Media Commission registered newspaper is determined to deliver strong content, professional design and quality of information to their discerning readers. At present, the newspapers content includes entertainment, sports, entrepreneurs, student issues, investment, business, news and stories from around the world. With an eye for a story, you can help this newspaper become elevated in Ghanaian society and become the leader in a competitive field.

Volunteers will undertake several tasks, but maintain the ability to design their own experience based on what they enjoy. Activities range from researching, writing copy, editorial work, doing grant research, marketing – advertising, sponsorships, publicity and sales.

Low levels of experienced staff find the paper struggling to keep up with deadlines in an already challenging market. The help and outside perspective that volunteers bring in terms of process and content provide the team with much needed lessons on how to improve how the paper is run and what other interesting things they could publish, which they will carry with them in their future endeavors.
Setting Description:
The programme is located in Accra, which is a bustling city with waterfront location and an increasingly modernised skyline. Accra is at once exhausting and exhilarating with the hustle and bustle giving way to coveted areas of peace and tranquillity.
