The Winter School at Jacobs University is an annual academic program that takes place during the January intersession and invites students from around the world to join the Jacobs community in learning and living together on campus. Social sciences and humanities courses, which range from politics to arts to methodology, are taught by international faculty from Jacobs University and its partner institutions.
Jacobs University offers each participant full room and board on campus (additional fees). This includes: Safe university campus, Residential colleges, Single bedrooms, Fully-equipped recreation, common and multimedia rooms, In-college cafeterias with a large meal selection

- Jacobs University, a private university located in Bremen, is one of the most international universities in Germany, characterized by a truly intercultural community. More than 1,300 students from over 100 nations currently live and study on our residential campus. Jacobs University is a research-oriented, state-accredited university with a broad portfolio of undergraduate and graduate study programs from the natural and social sciences to engineering and economics. All programs are taught in English. Jacobs University is based in the north of Bremen – a city with a maritime atmosphere and 1,200 years of history. About half a million people live in Bremen, and it is easy to get around the city, which has a high quality of living. The historical market square is famous for Bremen’s mascots, the Town Musicians from the Brothers Grimm fairy tale, and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
