- Following the Faculty policies for the Summer Courses, this year ISEG will launch an intensive training programme of three courses to be held between 30 June to 11th July 2014. In a series of lectures, renowned scholars will cover the current research in their area of specialization, and present an opportunity to exchange experiences and inspiring discussions on several cutting edge topics.

Course: Quantitative Methods for Public Policy Evaluation Programme: The main challenge for policy evaluation is to establish a causal link between interventions and outcomes. Course: Regulation and Supervision of Financial Markets Programme: The course will analyze the (evolving) regulatory structures governing financial markets and financial services. The main principles of international and European financial regulation and supervision are studied with the aim of developing a critical understanding of the conceptual framework for financial regulation and supervision. Course:MATLAB Programme: The 3 rd edition of the MATLAB Summer School at ISEG is intended for students with no programming experience and provides the foundations of programming in MATLAB. Variables, arrays, conditional statements, loops, functions, and plots are explained.
