Program Description:

Santander, located in northern Spain, offers an extraordinary landscape on the shores of the Bay of Biscay and has been described as Spain's "most elegant city." While the climate throughout much of the year is rainy, Santander is full of beauty with lush green trees and rolling green hills surrounding the city.

ISA students can take courses at the Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP), located a quick 5 - 10 minute walk from the beach. The UIMP offers a complete program of courses and seminars conducted by prestigious specialists from Spanish and foreign universities. This characteristic has given the UIMP a reputation as being one of the most outstanding institutions of higher education in Spain. More than 5,000 students pass through the university´s classrooms throughout the summer. Gap Year Opportunities also available.

Setting Description:

The ISA office is conveniently located on the Las Llamas campus of Menendez Pelayo International University (UIMP). You may visit the office to practice your Spanish, use the Internet/WiFi, receive tutoring, inquire about upcoming excursions and activities, read through various travel/academic resources or simply visit with the ISA staff and fellow students.
