Santa Cruz is a small town less than an hour from six fantastic surfing and leisure beaches in the Guanacaste province of Costa Rica. The "National Folklore City" holds festivals year-round, but especially in January and July.
This program is perfect for students who've already completed two semesters of university Spanish and are looking for a more immersive, "different" experience. Nature lovers can visit a wildlife refuge, several nearby national parks, hiking trails, canopy zip lines and waterfalls to fully appreciate Costa Rica's biodiversity.
The summer program at the Universidad Latina - Santa Cruz is designed for students at the intermediate and advanced language levels. It is ideal for students who need to complete a full 90 hours of Spanish language instruction during the 5-week session in order to earn six credit hours or nine quarter units of Spanish.
Founded in 1985 as the Universidad Internacional de Costa Rica, the school's undergraduate and graduate programs are fully accredited by the Costa Rican Ministry of Education. Today, the school offers undergraduate courses in a wide area of practical sciences, education, and business-related fields. The university also has several campuses across the country.

- The ISA Santa Cruz Office is located on the Universidad Latina - Santa Cruz campus, making it a convenient place to meet with your directors, get help with school work, and use the internet. Students will have access to all of the amenities of the University as well as the other ISA office located in San Jose. The office hours are Monday - Friday 8am-5pm.
