With its sunny climate, stately umbrella pines, and an unparalleled wealth of history around every corner, Rome's beauty quickly overtakes all who enter its ancient walls. It won't take long before students become comfortable and familiar with their environment and better understand Italian customs and culture here in the capital city. Students should prepare for a wonderful adventure that brings them towards an understanding of Italy and its people, as well as a new understanding of themselves.
Students participating in the ISA Rome Semester or Summer program can choose from a multitude of courses in English as well as several courses in the Italian language offered at the American University of Rome (AUR). All participants are in the classroom with North American and other international students. The wide range of course options available includes Art, Architecture, Economics, History, International Relations, Literature, Italian History and Language, Social Sciences, Political Science, Physical and Biological Sciences, Video production, and more.

- Setting Description:
- The ISA Rome office is located one block from the AUR campus, located in the beautiful, residential neighborhood of Trastevere. The ISA resident staff is available to students at all times and conducts on-site orientations, leads excursions, assists with housing and provides academic support. The ISA office is a place where students can receive tutoring, take informal cooking classes, use the internet or simply visit and practice Italian language with the ISA staff.
