Program Overview

Program Description:

Since 1992, Prague has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and for good reason: The city is an unaltered, hands-on museum seemingly frozen in time and filled with quaint cobblestone streets, austere church towers, Neo-Gothic bridges, and gargantuan castles. The landscape of the Czech Republic is as diverse as the country's history as it was often under siege and thus constantly under new rule for many centuries. The galling years of communist rule linger in the minds of Czechs, and striking up a conversation on the subject brings out a history and culture lesson that could only be learned from the source itself. These days Prague is known for its fantastic music scene, happening nightlife and beautiful green parks that dot the city, all of which mix nicely with the history and incredible architecture that can be found around every corner. While studying abroad in Prague indulge in the hearty Czech cuisine, take a classical concert in a historic cathedral, visit one of the many museums throughout the city or explore the beautiful and peaceful Czech countryside. Whether you're a history buff, architect geek or eclectic music hound, there's a piece of Prague waiting for you.
