Murdoch University is a modern, progressive institution, committed to flexible, multi-disciplinary study. The University has a national reputation for excellence in teaching and student satisfaction, and has received a five star rating for graduate satisfaction in the Good Universities Guide 13 times. At Murdoch, study abroad students can select from a wide array of subjects to meet their academic needs. Strong academic areas include: Australian and Indigenous studies, exercise physiology, media, gender studies and sustainability. Campus is home to approximately 19,000 students, 3,000 of whom are overseas students from over 100 countries. Murdoch University is located approximately 20 minutes from Perth's city center and 10 minutes from the popular cafe district of Fremantle, which is Western Australia's first port city.

The University of Western Australia is the oldest institution of higher learning in Western Australia and a member of Australia's prestigious Group of Eight universities. UWA's strong foundation in research and teaching creates a scholarly environment, which promotes the pursuit and rigorous critical interpretation of new information as well as the acquisition of knowledge. At UWA, students are able to select from a wide range of courses enabling them to enroll in courses that fit their individual academic needs. Popular subject areas include creative writing, international relations, gender studies, criminal justice and history. Campus is situated on the banks of the Swan River only three miles from Perth city center, and is among the most picturesque in the nation with its grand sandstone and terracotta buildings sitting among elegant heritage-listed gardens.
