- Program Description:
Lima, the capital of Peru, is situated on the west coast of the southern Pacific Ocean, along the outlet of the Rímac River. Lima is full of fascinating contrasts between traditional and modern influences. The traditional influences evolved from Peru's history as the home of the Inca and numerous other civilized cultures, dating back as far as 2000 BC. Indigenous cultural traditions and languages still thrive today in Peru.
ISA students can attend either the Universidad del Pacífico, Pontifical Catholic University of Peru or the University of San Ignacio de Loyola-Lima. Courses are available for all Spanish language levels. Students can also elect to take course with local students. All courses are taught by host university staff. Volunteer and internship opportunities available through ELAP (Experiential Learning Abroad Programs). Gap Year Opportunities also available.

- Setting Description:
- The ISA offices in Lima are located in the UP's student center, near the USIL and on the campus of the PUCP. Our resident staff will provide support during the enrollment process, assist with housing and offer travel advice. Students can visit with ISA staff, receive tutoring and check the ISA bulletin board for upcoming ISA, community and cultural events.
