Affectionately known as the Mother City, Cape Town was founded in 1652 and is South Africa’s oldest city. Cape Town is rated as one of the most beautiful cities in the world with a backdrop of flat-topped Table Mountain juxtaposed by the sweep of the Atlantic Ocean in the foreground.
Established in 1829 as a school for boys, the University of Cape Town (UCT) is South Africa's oldest university and one of the continent's leading teaching and research institutions. University of Cape Town comprises over 80 departments with 1,980 Academic staff and with 2, 520 Administrative staff. The University of Cape Town has a population of approximately 23 500 students and over 4000 international students.The University of the Western Cape is located just 12 miles north of Cape Town in the Tygerberg suburb of Bellville. Its attractive campus includes an important nature reserve, and the mountains of the Cape Peninsula and Stellenbosch provide beautiful landmarks to the east and west. The University is readily accessible by car, taxi, bus or train, and even has its own railway station, Unibell, on the southern boundary of the campus.

- The Cape Town office is located on campus at the University of Cape Town. Campus shops and restaurants are located around the office making it an ideal location for students. During the normal office hours, students will gather for regular meetings with the Resident Director, find out about upcoming excursions, learn about activities and cultural events, and utilize academic and travel resources.
