IVHQ New Zealand is based in the harbour city of Auckland, New Zealand's largest city. Projects are environmentally based and include the Native Forest and Waterway Restoration project, and addressing the major problem of plastic waste on the Coastline Conservation and Education project. There is also the unique opportunity for highly motivated volunteers to gain experience working with Auckland-based NGOs with a range of administrative tasks and activities. Volunteers can spend their weekends exploring New Zealand, which is universally renowned for breath-taking scenery, unique wildlife, adventure sports and relaxed lifestyle. Programs commence on the first and third Monday of each month. Volunteers can choose to join the program for anywhere from two to 12 weeks with program fees starting at US$885 for two weeks.
