If you enjoy working hard, being proactive, and using your talents in multiple ways, then our Colombia programs may be for you. Volunteers commit to 3-5 hours per day at their placement and then can enjoy their evenings by touring the city, enjoying the Colombian cuisine, exploring the night life or taking a trip to the beach. Volunteers can choose to be placed in either Cartagena or Bogota, and while both are amazing destinations, each may appeal to different interests. If you like the coast, a laid back environment, and are keen on the warmer weather, then our Cartagena program is best for you. If you enjoy architecture, navigating an intricate and bustling city, visiting museums, and indulging in the food and night life, then Bogota may be your best bet. On either program, volunteers can choose from a variety of projects including Teaching, Feeding the Homeless, Elderly Care, Childcare, Construction and Renovation, Sports Development and Community.
