- Program Description:
- Studying Italian in Sicily, in the land that is now known as the cradle of Italian language and literature: this is the project of InSicilia – Italian School of Language, born with the objective of promoting the diffusion of the Italian language and culture, by appealing to those who share the interest and love for our language and for its story and to who, for professional or study needs, wishes to enrich his baggage of linguistic competences.
Course activities are structured in packages composed of one or more weekly modules. Every module is developed within a week, with a different daily length. Special Courses are oriented towards particular categories of users who wish to acquire or perfect terminologies linked to specific sectors. Thematic Workshops regard different aspects of Italian culture (art, cinema, music, cookery) which give students the possibility of experimenting the use of the Language in different contexts.
InSicilia proposes various types of courses structured on the basis of the identified levels from the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Every student is inserted in the chosen course while keeping note of the beginning linguistic level, evaluated through an initial test. At the end of every course there will be a final test. The participation to the courses gives right to the release of a Certificate of Frequency and of a Declaration of competence InSicilia.
