Program Description:

INESLE Madrid - Institute of Spanish is a Spanish language and cultural program for students in the 7h, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades. For the summer of 2016, the four-week program will take place in Madrid (Spain) from June 25th to July 24th. One of the distinguishing features of our program is that each student lives with a Spanish “host” family. We carefully interview each host family and match them to the most suitable, compatible student. Note, INESLE students are encouraged to immerse themselves with family life, speaking and thinking in Spanish, and to experience the warmth and good humor for which Spanish families are rightly famous. Also the host family’s children will accompany the American students during the whole program, which is one of the most relevant features of INESLE Madrid program. In the classroom, the students will follow a curriculum that takes a holistic approach to learning. In addition to the Spanish language classes, all students will attend courses in Spanish Literature, History, Art, Geography, Social Studies, Music, and Economics. All our courses are delivered in Spanish to ensure the student’s maximum immersion in our language. An added benefit of our Madrid location will allow our students the opportunity to visit an incredible variety of historic sites and places of interest. There will be many activities and excursions, including a four-day hiking adventure on the world-famous Camino de Santiago, itself a World Heritage Site.
