What better way to practice your Japanese language skills and immerse yourself in Japanese life and culture than by studying in Nagoya? This six-week summer program offers you intensive Japanese courses at The Center for Japanese Studies (CJS) at Nanzan University, which is renowned in the field of Japanese language education. You round out your education in Nagoya by learning about Japanese culture, politics, and arts.
Enroll in one of four Japanese language courses (from pre-intermediate to pre-advanced level) for 6 credits. You also take a 1.5-credit course in Japanese Studies, which consists of two components: Contemporary Japanese Politics & Economy, and Japanese Culture. A 1-credit course in the Japanese Arts is also offered. Hanga (woodblock print), and ikebana (flower arrangement) are some examples of Japanese art forms that will be explored.
