- Entry into this intensive two-week course is according to existing Huron/UWO guidelines, with Politics 231E or Politics 245E as prerequisites. Students applying form other universities should check with the program coordinator to ensure that they have equivalent qualifications.
In addition to a lecture and seminar series delivered by some of leading scholars on European integration, the course will incorporate visits to NATO headquarters, EU headquarters, and a briefing from the Canadian delegation to the EU. There will also be cultural visits as time allows.
Students will receive credit for a one-semester course (the equivalent of 3 credit hours at an American university).
- Setting Description:
- Students will be lodged in the beautiful university town of Leuven in Belgium (www.leuven.be), about 20 minutes by train from the center of Brussels. Many of the seminars will be held on the campus of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, one of Europe's great universities, founded in 1425.
