Program Description:

Geumgang Language Center was established to help its Korean students improve their foreign language skills, as well as teach foreign students the Korean language. This program also gives foreign students the opportunity to experience Korean culture.

A true chance to immerse yourself in Korea. Students are offered field trips to experience traditional Korean culture, including a templestay and offsite cooking class. Students also live with a Korean roommate - a great chance to practice what you've learned any time! How about joining one of our school's many clubs to make new Korean friends? Special programming for test preparation (TOPIK) is also available.

GLC international students come from a variety of countries, either as independent students or as exchange students from partner universities in France, Germany, Russia, China, Japan, Vietnam, India, the U.S., Canada, and Australia. This co-mingling of students of many national origins enriches the learning environment for all.

Setting Description:

Geumgang is a great place to focus on your studies. Surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery, Geumgang is a small, developing university about an hour's drive from the major city of Daejeon in central Korea. The facilities are new, well-maintained, and state-of-the-art. Students have access to a fitness center, computer lab, karaoke room, and movie theater, as well as to a free shuttle bus going to-and-from Daejeon.
