- The Counselor Education Program is for students who serve their communities, their institutions, and their professions as school counselors, clinical mental health counselors, and student service professionals. A student pursuing the master's degree chooses one of three concentrations: School Counseling a 51 hour program; Clinical Mental Health Counseling a 60 hour program; or Student Services in Higher Education a 48 hour program of study. For the Ed.S. degree, the program of study requires completion of 30 credit hours.

- The program is accredited by CACREP (the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs), NCATE and SACS. It is also approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.
- Financial Aid:
- GRE or MAT test scores are accepted. For the School Counseling Concentration at the master's level, applicants must have passed the GACE Program Admission Assessment.
