Program Description:

Improve your English skills while experiencing the excitement and culture of Washington, D.C. Our Intensive Language & Culture program combines classroom instruction, workshops, and cultural excursions into an immersive eight-week learning experience. Spend a semester in the heart of the city, living, learning, and engaging with classmates from more than 30 countries. Our faculty members will provide you with expert instruction on foundational elements of the English language, including grammar, conversation, reading, writing, and listening skills.

The English Language Center at Georgetown brings you closer to the vibrant, bustling culture of Washington, D.C.! Be part of life in the city at our centrally-located downtown campus, accessible by multiple bus and commuter rail lines. You will be steps away from some of D.C.’s most historic landmarks and institutions, as well as hundreds of neighboring organizations. Expand your horizons outside of the classroom at all the museums, monuments, restaurants, and cultural attractions DC has to offer.
