On campus, you acquire the technical expertise required to work in the heart of the jewelry industry. You learn directly from the world's largest and most respected diamond grading authority - GIA. Or, instead of learning on campus, you might choose to study through Distance Education. Have the same textbooks that GIA uses on campus delivered straight to your door. Either way, you develop the knowledge and skills to succeed in one of the world's most glamorous sectors of the jewelry industry - diamonds.

Gain a solid foundation of diamond knowledge that will serve you throughout your entire career. On campus you work closely with a GIA instructor, and train with over 200 actual diamonds.

Setting Description:
Welcome to GIA Florence. We are located in the city of Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance, where one experiences art in the medieval streets, in the craftsmen's workshops and in the Renaissance Palaces. Florence is the world's greatest city for fine art and the heart of Renaissance history and culture. It possesses an almost inexhaustible wealth of monuments and great works of art. Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raffaello, Ghiberti, Botticelli, Donatello, Brunelleschi and all of the other towering figures of the Renaissance at one time or another lived and worked in Florence.
