You know how you hear people say something is a "life changing experience"? I personally never really believed that whenever I heard it. There is no way something is that good that you know it will change your life. I was wrong. After becoming both a
Student Assistant and a Student for the program this year, I can wholeheartedly say that this is one of those programs that will definitely change your life. I always thought that I would end up somewhere in New York because that is where I am from, but after this program, I know that is most definitely not where I will end up. This is so because the program really has the students integrated with how an actual European would live if they were traveling all of Europe. We took the subway in Paris to class, we walked the same streets any local would, we learned more about the European Union than any typical United States citizen would know, and more. The constant traveling was also a huge benefit. It is very typical for a Spaniard to simply go to France for the weekend with a bunch of their friends or for an Italian to visit Switzerland. Everyone in Europe travels and that is what we experienced. Because of this program, I know for a fact I want more of that. I see myself traveling just like any other typical European on the weekends, and then going back to work during the weekdays. There would be no other way for me to know that if I did not participate in this program. I cannot regard this program any higher in the form of words because a lot of what we experienced was indescribable. You have to at least consider it!
