Program Description:
Combine your stay in Italy with your passion for photography, or take a time to improve and expand your knowledge attending a photography course in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Fondazione Studio Marangoni (founded in 1991) offers three-week courses, daily and weeklyworkshops, as well as academic courses to complement your holidays or to start a career as a professional photographer. Classes are held in English. You will learn techniques and approaches from renown international professionals, while discovering the beauty of Florence, its art, architecture, history and, of course, its tasty food!

This course focuses on the advanced techniques in the developing and editing of digital images using Adobe Bridge and Adobe Photoshop software. Topics such as color correction and photo retouch will be included in the discussion.

TEACHER Giuseppe Toscano was born in Catania in 1976. He graduated in photography at Fondazione Studio Marangoni, Florence where, in 2003, he started to work as teacher and coordinator of educational activities. He is also responsible for the online magazine m-mag contemporary photography. He currently teaches photography at New York University Florence, Sarah Lawrence College in Florence, and Berkeley Preparatory School. As a photographer he is interested in the documentation of the Italian landscape, in particular the Southern regions. His photographs have been shown in numerous exhibitions in Europe including: Saadun curated by Denise Vernillo, Exhibition Space Zweistein, Munich, Germany; Backlight05, Triennial Festival of Photography, Museum Vapriikki, Tampere, Finland; Children are not like us, Wolkersdorf Castle, Austria; Antonino Paraggi Gallery, Treviso ; SI Fest 2007, Savignano sul Rubicone; Tempi Osceni, Galerie Nei Liicht, Dudelange, Luxembourg. His interest for new technologies and their application in photography drove him to graduate in Technology of Communication and Multimedia at the University of Ferrara in 2011.
Setting Description:
1st session = from June 9th to june 25th Lessons will be on Tuesday and Thursday from 3.30 to 5.30 PM 2nd session =from july 2nd to july 28th Lessons will be on Tuesday and Thursday from 3.30 to 5.30 PM
Cost:
4 hours per week for 3 weeks (12 hours) Tuition fee = 240,00 Euro Course will run with a minimum of 5 students
