- Setting Description:
- The course will be held in the painter’s birthplace Pieve di Cadore (three days) and in Venice (two days). In a series of lectures (for the most part given at the Fondazione’s Centre in Pieve di Cadore) and visits to works by Titian and artists from his ambience, Titian’s importance as an artist will be explored both from a local and an international perspective. The Centre in Pieve di Cadore is housed in a 16th-century palace and has an important specialized library and photo collection on Titian. A number of the visits will be to objects and places not normally open to the public, both in the Cadore area and in Venice.
- Cost:
- The tuition cost is 415 euro for the full course. (Participation in only a part of the course is not possible.) Room and board – three nights in Pieve di Cadore, one night in Venice - is not included. However, for those who are interested, the Fondazione offers a low-cost arrangement for room and board. Transportation is not included either (NB: transportation in Venice is expensive: a two or three-days ticket is recommended).
