The class will focus on one theme per week such as “using public transportation”, “communicating at work” or “foods” for example. Students will be taught through using games, doing interviews with other students and real-life situations such as giving directions or asking for information. Not only will students have the benefit of taking classes each day at Finca Bella Vista, but they will also have the opportunity to communicate and interact with the Finca crew during the day and also at the weekly conversation classes! In addition, students will have the option of adding a weekend excursion for the first or second weekend of the three week course. Studying Spanish at the Finca is the perfect opportunity to learn new material during class, test it out with the crew during the week and put your skills to the test in the real world during the weekends.

As you turn into the town of La Florida to head up the hill to Finca Bellavista, you will not see anything resembling a tourist shop or an English speaking grocery. If you are looking for the experience of living in a traditional Costa Rican town where Spanish is spoken and gallo pinto is eaten, come on down!
