Program Overview
- Program Description:
- Students excel in our intensive summer English classes which are designed to quickly
increase students’ English skills. Classes meet from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through
Friday. This is a four-week session in July and August.
Students begin each session with comprehensive placement tests. Test results are then used to place each student in the appropriate levels for phonics, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, conversation, public speaking and TOEFL preparation. Students work in small groups with personal attention from Fairfax Christian School’s teachers. The program is offered for middle and high school students, from age 9 and up.
Grades: A final grade will be issued at the conclusion of the classes. Middle and high school students may receive one-half of an academic credit per session.! !
- Setting Description:
- Lunch: Participants bring a bag lunch from home or may purchase lunch from our catering service. Dressing for Summer School: Casual dress is permitted during the summer. Any short pants must be knee length. Sweat pants and T-shirts with slogans or pictures are not acceptable. Dress should be neat, modest and presentable. Students should prepare for air conditioning. Transportation: Transportation is available to limited areas, upon sufficient demand. Please contact the school office to confirm availability at your address.
